The Shiney Zebra decorated cookies

I know, Shiney Zebra....What kind of name is that?  Well, it actually has nothing to do with cookies.  My nickname is Shiney (thanks Donny-Ronny)  And I love zebras, I have for as long as I can remember. 

My name is Sherrol, I'm a full time Court Reporter, but my other artistic side decorates cookies.  It's a great escape for me.  I used to be creative with my daughter's birthday, holiday parties, etc.  I found I missed doing it, so I started doing things for school functions, friends, family, and assorted gatherings. 

I love coming up with new creations, or being given a challenge to work cookies into a particular theme.   My cookies are so special, not for the decorating, but the Cookie!  In our family, Christmas means:  Birth of Christ, Family, and Cathy's sugar cookies!  So, when I decided to try my hand at decorated cookies, I used my sister-in-law Cathy's recipe.   

My mom is a talented artist, musician and writer, my daughter has a beautiful singing voice and also a talent for writing short stories, so I'm somewhere in between with the cookies.  I don't write stories, but I do write an awesome business letter! (Thanks Mom)   In my field of court reporting, I also am a creative reader.  Any CRs out there know what I mean! 

My sister-friend Shirley and my daughter have been my critique-ers (not sure that's a word, but in the world of court reporting, that really doesn't matter).  They let me know if a cookie is an...Uh-no-don't-try-that-again cookie.   Shirley hears every one of my ideas, gives me input on bouquets, bless her heart!  I really should do her a big bouquet!
